Now for the bad news for Chas; remember moaning about Lomax being late to take up duties at Fawley?
Well, this morning, it is approaching Flamborough Head, en route to . . Straits of Gibraltar!

Now showing ETA Fawley 30/3 1500UTC

Well that could cause some difficulty here. Vortex is due back from Rotterdam also on 30th.
Meanwhile, Southampton VTS don't seem to be aware of the Lomax arrival yet.

VTS are often unaware of arrivals, NAVE ATRIA appeared at the last minute, and the departures of the hopper barges did not appear in the 'sailings' list.   Meanwhile Manu-Pekka is supposed to leave today, but as yet no tug is around to tow her !!  When I once questioned them, they said they could only report what the agents told them.

And destination now changed again! Felixstowe, ETA 30/3 0100UTC

Perhaps DUTCH POWER is coming for the dredger?  ETA 31/3 (currently on the Thames)

Looks a likely candidate.  Manu-Pekka has had Whitehaven down as her next port for some while now.

I was sat there, sitting, patiently waiting for Manu Pekka yesterday and was of course disappointed.
I realise VTS are not responsible for the info or lack of it and I do usually feel sorry for them.
Still, they have an opportunity today; Lomax is south of Rye and still heading for Fawley.
I note though they have an ETA of 20:00. I suppose that means they are going to sneak in after dark!
Another example is Vortex; due back at Fawley from Rotterdam tomorrow. The only snag is she hasn't yet arrived in Rotterdam!
It was different yesterday seeing a Svitzer tug (I think it was Ferriby) assisting Phenix out of the Esso berth with the British Robin. I presume this may have been due to Tenax being in Sweden.

David,
I do believe you may be right re Dutch Power; it is due on the same berth (106) that Manu Pekka is currently berthed at.
