  Ted,
So sorry but the link seems to not work, but if you go to 'you tube' and just tap in the box, emsstrom there are two video's listed  . . one is the possible grounding, the second one is the 10 degree list appearing and the return to the berth.

Today the THV Galatea was over the sunken wreck of the 'Emsstrom' possible for extra survey work possibly because of the outcome of the meeting that took place ealier this week in Torbay chaired by Hugh Shaw (Secretary of State Rep for Maritime Salvage & Intervention) and attended by all interested parties and being reported a possibility of the vessel to be refloated because of its dangerous postion. (the vessel is laying very close to the recognised Deep Draughted Anchorage for VLCC and also very close to the westbound approach to vessels landing 'Deep Sea/North Sea Pilots' at Brixham Pilot Station, plus the fact that the vessel is very close to the Southerly approach and waiting area for vessels entering the small commercial port of Teignmouth.

The area is also popular for small Commercial Vessels/Tugs with Tows that are Biscay bound that take shelter to await a suitable weather window . . .as the 'Christos XX11'herself was doing at the time.

THV Galatea is the most recent Trinity House vessel, purpose built for such tasks, TH has sent in the big boys!!!!!

Is the Christos XXII still in Portland ? Her AIS has not transmitted for 38 days according to marine traffic since she arrived in Portland?

Regards,

Dan.

I have just received an email from Portland Harbour Authority saying that the Christos XXII is still in Portland on the OCP berth but they have no other information on her repairs or intentions.

I am guessing there must be a lot of engine room flooding damage to machinery etc ?

Cheers, Dan.
