Looking for Swedish tug info
« on: December 27, 2012, 02:49:57 PM »
Hi,

I have been going through some of my old (and faded) photos and wonder if there is any info available on these Swedish tugs seen near Stockholm during 1971, both groups were towing logs.

IGGESUND and an unnamed tug both with yellow funnels with black top and blue "A"

HEROS and FREY. HEROS funnel Black with white SRA on blue disc on white band & FREY funnel Black with white SA on blue disc on white band. I did find a 1955 built tug HEROS but do not know if she is the same one.

Regards

Bob

Thank you Edvard, what a great website, even more so with Google Translate  :)

I found all three tugs and was surprised to see that the two larger tugs IGGESUND & HEROS were built in 1898 & 1883 with the FREY being the youngster being built in 1933.

Excellent

Best regard
