Can anyone assist me with suggestion for good binoculars for distances of 8.5 Nautical miles or 15.5 Kilometers.
I currently use Goertz 1909 10x45 Military observation binoculars from a stable indoor platform with a tripod. Excellent vision at the closer rangers but not at the outer limits.
I wish to be able to see the funells and the ships name in more detail. Worried that if I go to a telescope or binoculars with too much magnification the field of view will be to small
