Hi All

Not sure if there is a photograph of this vessel on the site but here is a 'good news story' connected with maritime Heritage here in the UK:

I saw the ROBIN on her floating exibition barge at Lowestoft yesterday (13th September 2010) and looking great. She was connected to the Griffin Towage tug PRINCETON and I have heard that she is due to be towed to London (Tilbury Dock) sometime this month.

I have contacted the SS Robin Trust and they tell me that ROBIN is due to leave Lowestoft today (pm) weather permitting. The PLA arrivals also show the tug PRINCETON due in the port area at 0500 tomorrow morning so possibly Gravesend a few hours later for Tilbury Dock

She moored on Tilbury landing stage at about 11.30 today and will go into Tilbury Dock later, I've been told around 16.00.

Yes Bob,
She moved off at just after 16.00, they were waiting for slack tide to get her into the locks. By this time the 'DOCKMAN' tug was pumping out an incredible amount of smoke.... looked like a steamship herself but smelt a lot worse!
It was good to see you down there today Bob and hope you're catching up on some sleep!
Regards
John J.

Yes thanks John, slept like a log

I should have stayed a bit longer, I see the BULKNES sailed not long after I left.
