Voge Trust grounded off Mombasa

The 38,335-dwt tanker Voge Trust built 2009, in loaded condition, grounded while entering Mombasa Port under pilot this morning. Three double bottom ballast tanks were ruptured, which led to the vessel developing a list.
A water pumping operation stabilised the ship and an investigation has found its cargo tanks are in tact and no oil has been spilled.
Two tugs are assisting the ship, which is waiting for high tide before berthing tonight.
