Hi David H. Hickcox/Magogman

Mr President, this is from one of your loyal members

Most people who sail yachts propelled by nature's wind do not like the term "Yacht" being applied to boats that require motors.  But they have to accept a universally applied term.  Having disclosed that prejudice, here is the site position.

In the Yacht subcategory of the Passenger Vessels category, Motor boats / small pleasure crafts will not be accepted.

In the Sailing Vessels category, the FAQ states :-

Small single masted yachts used for recreational purposes will not be accepted.

MODERN RIG SAILING SHIPS - those with a predominance of Bermudan sails

I have to admit to having some fairly fixed views on this matter. As the owner of a "yacht", you know, one with a mast and sails, then to me a yacht is exactly that. These huge things with motors should come under a new category of "gin palaces" or "boat aquired by questionable means".IE, by robbing the resources of your country
.And IMHO have no place here.
