Panama Canal charges
« on: August 15, 2008, 10:57:44 PM »
I understand that when Disney Magig mde its transit of the Panama Canal on 16th May 2008, the toll charge was $283,400. Is this true? Is it a regular charge, or a one of? If it's a regular occurence, if I owned a shipping company journeys to Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina would be a definate possibility.

Many thanks for the information. Expensive charges or what!  Shipping Companies must get the cheque book out even when repositioning of ships.
Is the Suez Canal just as expensive?
