US Warships to attempt satellite shoot down

The USS Lake Erie is currently stationed off Hawaii in company with destroyers USS Decatur and USS Russell, the ships are assigned the task of shooting down a defunct spy satellite.

Not exactly like the plot for "Armageddon" is it? We need to shoot at the monster killer comet heading to earth but oops we need to wait for the waves to be less wavy. Seriously though, this dysfunctional satellite is full of Hydrazine, which would ruin your whole day if you live in the two or three football field area the fuel could spray over. Sort of like crop dusting for humans.

The satelite is exterminated succesfully.
The governement recieved one complaint about inconvenience of noise.

This was not delayed due to bad weather, they waited for a successful landing of their space shuttle ATLANTIS
So they are real sure, their rocket will not hit the wrong object.  :lol:
