Cargo m/v "Vanessa" sank off Kertch

The Bulgarian cargo m/v "Vanessa" sank in the Kertch narrows on Jan 2 in severe seas. There is no information yet on the 11 people on board the ship. The "Vanessa" was passing the Kertch narrows between Azov- and Black Sea with a cargo of metal when the storm hit and produced wave heigths of 3 metres and winds of 20 m/sec. Two ships proceeded to the "Vanessa" after its SOS-call but were unable to help due to the storm.

She was the well known ex Becks Vanessa.

Later became the Vanessa C under Carisbrookes

Nice solid conventional looking coaster which always looked immaculate under Becks ownership.

Is possibly this http://www.shipspotting.com/search.php?query=Vanessa-C&andor=AND&mids%5B%5D=7&action=results her photos??? If is she, then was a nice general cargo coaster then. Hope the 10 souls are with God. Fortunatly one survived to tell the history of tragedy.
