CBC News story is a welcome change to the absolute horrendous lack of regulation of in the design of Newfoundland fishing vessels. For years vessels have been building dangerously unstable vessels just to meet the minimum length restrictions set by Fisheries and Oceans. Please go to the article and see the image of a vessel that capsized in 2004. I remember seeing these vessels bobbing around St. John's sheltered harbour and couldn't believe a crew would take something like that out into the North Atlantic.
