Hi All

Thanks to a heads up from Hans - here are deatils of a change of ships on the North Shields to Ijmuiden Ferry route tha may be of interest.

Press release from DFDS:

"13/04/2007  
 
Tonnage changes on routes from Newcastle due to commercial trends and operational considerations DFDS Seaways is altering the tonnage operating on its routes from Newcastle upon Tyne.
 
Effective from the 29th May 2007, the tonnage on routes to Amsterdam and Norway will be altered. The m.s. QUEEN OF SCANDINAVIA will commence operation on the Newcastle

I have also seen this info on DFDS website
I can recommend these sailings to Amsterdam & Norway
Nice Bars onboard Plus good photos ship 2 ship

Hi Stephen

Cheap enough but the meals on board can be expensive!!!!

Still cheaper for me to fly on a budget airline from Newcastle to Amsterdam though - and quicker  :-)

The Queen is a beautifull ship, Princess of Norway not so, i think..
It were 6 beautifull years with the Queen in the IJmuiden harhor  :-(
