Refugee Rescue Crisis

The following guidance (updated and co-sponsored by a number of industry associations and unions in July 2015) has been prepared for ship operators in response to the growing refugee/migrant crisis in the Mediterranean (and elsewhere) which has already required hundreds of commercial ships to rescue tens of thousands of migrants, as people attempt to get to Europe in dilapidated craft that are often unseaworthy and grossly overloaded.
