« on: October 16, 2014, 06:07:29 AM »
I have found document on the net that says Svitzer will be getting 2 new tugs in the UK by the end of 2014 named Svitzer Eston and Svitzer Bargate as well as a 2nd Damen ASD 3212 would this be correct as I caint post the document and don't know if we are all meant to know about the new tugs.

The two new Svitzer tugs destined for the UK are common knowledge Nick, there are a few Svitzer tugs being put up for sale in the next months or so, and I presume more than one newbuilding in Svitzer's programme are being built for the UK fleets so watch this space.

Svitzer Bargate makes sense for Southampton as the Bargate, still standing, was built around 1180 as part of the Norman town walls.

She's apparently registered in Middlesbrough so time might be limited to get a photo of her on the Thames  :(
