CRIME RINGS have obtained security clearances and are working in the Australian maritime industry, according to a report from the Australian Crime Commission.
Acting Crime Commission CEO Paul Jevtovic told the Customs Brokers & Forwarders Council of Australia this week: "Australian law enforcement investigations into the maritime environment have revealed serious and organised criminal activity at most Australian ports."
