The end for the former "SMIT LONDON"

It was reported that one of the strongest Ocean Going Salvage tugs
the Global Change, the former Smit London, Smitwijs London, London
was beached and scrapped on 25th June, in India.

The tug recently was sold by Svitzer to GMS together with her sisters
the Global Destiny (ex Rotterdam) and the Global Succes I (ex Singapore). All three are tugs of 74.8m in length and 22,000 hp and started life as part of the Smit International fleet

Slight correction: according to the GMS weekly demolition reports,  the GLOBAL CHANGE arrived at Alang on June 16th and was beached on June 22nd.

Equasis reports the Status of 'Global Change' as broken up since 16th june 2013, so she found definitively her end.

She anchored up at Bhavnagar at 01/06/2013 according to her last AIS track.
