Strait of Magellan
« on: June 13, 2012, 11:01:00 PM »
Pacific Basin Shipping's newbuild roro STRAIT OF MAGELLAN (IMO 9503627) broke her lay-up at Tilbury this evening and sailed for Bristol - she had arrived Tilbury 29/8/2011.  Anyone know whether she is going into service, or just transferring to join her suster BERING STRAIT (IMO 9503639) which has been idle in Portbury since 12/1/2012.

Great, that's answered a question that has been bugging me for a few weeks.
I have crossed the Bristol Channel (M5) a number of times during the past month and have seen this new looking RoRo in Avonmouth which does not move and does not appear on AIS. BERING STRAIT.

Cheers

Bob
