Is Marine Traffic website hacked?
« on: September 23, 2011, 05:22:45 PM »
It appears that someone has hacked the Marine Traffic website
http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/ when using Firefox or Chrome browser the page shows ads squeezing the AIS window down to a narrow view.

It works fine on my laptop using the latest Firefox 6.0.2.  It could be that you have some spyware downloaded on your machine.  Have you tried a full spyware scan on your system or removed unwanted cookies ?

Regards Steve
Why not take a look at my blog "SHIPS AND BOATS IN LONDON". It's my take on the river traffic in the City.

All right for you kids?
You have made my day!
Being an older gent myself (although some may argue about the 'gent' bit!) that cheered me up no end!
Cheers

Hi Guys

First time I've heard an old Scouse git called a Gent !!!!

Allan

ps - MT site seems to have righted itself now, may be it was a Greek protest about financial matters.

Allan,
Putting "Git" and "Gent" in the same sentence is somewhat of a contradiction in terms. However, adding "Scouse" to the same sentence as "Gent" does invoke Einstein's theory, which goes on about things being sort of 'relative'.
But - just today - Einstein's theory has been seriously challenged by the people at CERN, in Switzerland, so some doubt must now arise as to whether it is indeed possible to be Scouse, git and a gentleman all at the same time.
Me? I am an old (nearly a pensioner) Scots Git and the only time I do Gent is when I drive round its Ring Road to get to Terneuzen!

Well, I am miffed!
The problem really lies with you southerners here; on Merseyside the term is "get". So is is only a case of the missing 'n'.
Meanwhile, back to tracking this oribiting truck that is due to come to earth soon.
Doomed! We are all doomed! I watched it track right over Basingstoke and Hounslow last night!
