BEST LOCATION TO TAKE SHOTS IN LONDON
« on: July 14, 2010, 08:02:32 AM »
Hi Gentlemen,
could you help me to suggest me the best location to take photos to vessels under sailing Thames ??
I suppose close Tilbury, but I'm not sure, and your help will be very appreciated.
Kind regards
Lillo

Hi Lillo,

As Derek says, Tilbury has ships passing close but the sun does cause problems but you can park free on the ferry landing stage next to the Cruise Terminal. Gravesend is better in bright weather with a number of vantage points.

For movements see the PLA website
http://www.pla.co.uk/ships/index.cfm/site/navigation
"Expected arrivals" times are at the pilot station so you can add a couple of hours for passing Tilbury.
"Expected departures" are times off berth.

Regards

Bob
