Locations in Denmark?
« on: July 15, 2010, 11:08:34 AM »
Hi folks

I'm going to Denmark on holiday next week. First to Skagen, then Aalborg and finally to Aarhus. :-D  I know about the pub's and ports along the rout, but I know nothing about the possible photosites.
So I wonder if any of you guys could point me in the direction of some extra interesting/good sites with the possibility of getting some good/closeup or action shots?

Kind regards
Per

I've no doubt security has improved greatly at Aarhus port since I was there in 1994, when I and a few others had a casual stroll along the docks one Sunday morning!

On the offchance no-one gets back to you try google earth/maps to scout the area.

Thanks Ed

Yes, I guess the best option i Aarhus is to have a boat and get out on the waves. I don't think any of my friends down there have a boat, but we'll see.

Thanks again

Hi.
Port Of Fredericia is a great place to take photos, there is open in the old eastern part of the port, you can stand 200 meters from the Shell Oil Terminal, 25 meters from Fredericia Shipyard,, 2 floating docks, and you can right now see the newbuilding Capesize Bulker EPIC. You can also visit the south part of the port where you can see ships at the container terminal, and other general cargo ships, the traffic in Lillebaelt is good and there is lots of ships to see. Also look by at Vejle and Kolding there is good space to take photos.
When you are in the north part af Jutland visit also Frederikshavn, the port is almost open every where, also very nice place.
Best regards
Jesper

Wow!!
Thank you so very much Jesper :-D  We travel from Larvik, Norway to Hirtshals where I hope to get some nice shots, before we go up to Skagen for a couple of days. Here I plan to get around a bit while my better 2/3ds bakes in the sun. Then we are going east along the coast down trough Aalborg down to Aarhus for the rest of the week.
Guess I have to hijack her car and visit Fredricia and Kolding one of the days 8-)

Kindest regards
Per
