CMA CGM Group is pleased to announce the launching of its latest weekly service in the FAL network (French Asia Line) linking Asia and Europe: FAL 5

The FAL 5, operated in partnership with Maersk Line, will deploy a total of 10 vessels of 13 000 TEU (of which 5 CMA CGM vessels) covering the following rotation: Ningbo > Shanghai > Yantian > Tanjung Pelepas > Port Kelang > Le Havre > Hamburg > Rotterdam > Zeebrugge > Port Kelang> Singapore > Ningbo.


The first vessel deployed on the FAL5 service will be the CMA CGM CHRISTOPHE COLOMB, 13 800 TEU. This vessel is the flagship of the CMA CGM.
The first vessel of the Maersk will be the Maersk Edingburg

Hi mate,

interesting news, this must mean a deal has been reached by cma cgm and the shipyard for delivery of Ccc sister vessels which have been at anchor for some time.

Shame the service is not calling in the (uk) though.

Maersk Edinburgh is the first of eight sisters built for Rickmers being chartered by Maersk and is almost identical to CMA CGM Chistophe Columb. She is due to enter service in a few weeks time.

Hi Andrew,

CMA CGM CHRISTOPHE COLOMB will make a one-off call at Southampton on 8th July on the FAL1 service before phasing into FAL5.
