Refugee rescue by LIVERPOOL BAY in 1981 - Help Needed
« on: January 30, 2017, 03:21:20 PM »
A former Vietnamese refugee has contacted us as he found here photographs of the P&O container ship that rescued him in 1981 from a small boat.  He has since settled in Japan, and is desirous to make contact with the ship's master [or, I am sure, any other member of the ship's crew] who saved his life.  His Google-translated message is below.

If anyone can offer any information on this event, or suggest further contacts, please reply here or send a PM.

I think master/captain has been retired by now.

Perhaps something to sent to British trade union former Numast.
