Mv Swift + Mv Martin (Absolute Shipping, UK)

Currently see these vessels off the usual Cont - UK trades and laying in Poland for over a month now.

Anyone know if special survey time or laid up for sale?

MARTIN is currently on the repair pad of Stocznia Marynarki Wojennej, having arrived 15/6 from Ipswich.
The last reported position of SWIFT was in another part of the same shipyard (Basin 9) on 30/6, having arrived there only four days earlier from Kirkcaldy.  No indication of why she has stopped transmitting.

Ships at this repair yard do not appear to show on the Gdynia "ships in port" list:

I understand both vessels have been sold, and intention is to remove both vessels' wheelhouses and engine rooms/machinery, and are to be used as floating storage in the Faroe Islands for fishmeal.

Sad to read this - when I was sailing around North Sea and Channel ports back in 2000/2001, was always seeing these small Hoo ships working hard. I'm sorry to hear that they are finally on their way out . .

Thanks for the info Kristian, well noted. Guess we shall see some younger tonnage get snapped up from Absolute in this market.

Guess they are heading the same way as the 2 vessels Dennis Marine sold off recently to the Faroe's.

ANGELINA - IMO 7703273 was one of the vsl's.
