(i) "Vale China", the first 400,000 dwt VLOC built in China, is now at sea:

There was also a picture in Newsclippings yesterday.

Several sisters are being churned out as well, including "Vale Dongjiakou":

(ii) "Berge Everest" of 388,000 dwt seems to be completed now as well:

(iii) STX has also delivered "Vale Beijing" of 400,000 dwt, which again has a slightly different design than the ones built at DSME and in China:

(iv) Several identical sisters to "Vale Brasil" are also being completed at DSME, including "Vale Rio de Janeiro" and "Vale Italia":

Holy necropost, Batman!

Does anyone have any information why quite many Valemax ships have been renamed recently, having the prefix "Vale" replaced with "Ore" or "Sea"? I can't seem to find any news regarding this (only about the ships taken over by Shandong Shipping).

See the list of ships at the Wikipedia article, authored by yours truly:
