FJORDVIK (ex WESTPORT) left Port Taranaki this afternoon for Norway via Papeete and Panama, no doubt stopping there for bunkers. Now registered in Bahamas, Nassau. 3 photos in the photo section.

That's no good for us down at Port Taranaki, the port says 00:00 Wednesday which means no photo if she comes straight in. Maybe get one when she leaves.

Hi JR,

We had a conversation not long ago about the CALM which grounded off Cape Egmont, we display a photo of the CALM ashore before re-floating. Compensaton being paid due to lighthose failure. Thought it maybe of some interest to you.

« on: June 14, 2016, 07:11:05 AM »
Does anybody know which Captain Corelli ship was associated with Pacific Basin, it could be either 9044425 (Built 1991) or 9237395 (Built 2001). Any help would be much appreciated.

Does anybody know where this ship was built or where I can do some research to find out. There seems to be a few ships like her that do not have IMO#s and I don't see to be able to find out builders details.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi Pieter,
I entirely agree with you, I know you have seen some of my old slides and have worked on them for me and produced really good photos.

Hi Simon,

Photos, slides and negatives do deteriorate over time if not keep correctly, some of mine going back to the 1960s and in colour, my point was that they may not be up to the latest quality of digital images but are of interest to some members.
