Shipping News and information / Satoshi concept fails

It looks as if Satoshi could be scrapped alongside her sister..

The blog post on the owners website is below, with a word of warning that some people may be a bit shocked by the tone of the blog wording as it blames everyone but themselves.

Shipping News and information / ss PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT picture query
« on: June 13, 2020, 06:08:18 PM »
I've recently written a lengthy article on the American President Lines ship President Roosevelt, and this is to be published in Sea Lines, the magazine of the Ocean Liner Society. On the 20th December 1969 the President Roosevelt departed San Francisco on a world cruise, towards the latter stages of this cruise she was scheduled to call at London, late February or early March 1970, an unusual stop for a world cruise. I have never seen a picture of her in The Thames or alongside the Tilbury Landing Stage. Was she there? Did anyone see her? Better still, does anyone have a picture of her there?

Shipping News and information / Comments on photos
« on: January 05, 2012, 10:51:04 AM »
Yesterday I posted a query on a photo taken by Bob Scott of Canberra just before she resumed service after her time transporting troops to and from the Falklands. My query was whether this particular picture met the required criteria given that her waterline is totally obscured and a tug, in the foreground, blocks the greater part of the ship. Today, I see that the photo remains in place but my query has been deleted. Why?
