More NPDL schedule changes:
Capitaine Magellan is returning from drydock and will replace Capitaine Wallis on the NOUVAPAC trade.

Southern Pearl is replacing Capitaine Kupe on the Tuvalu & Kiribati trade.

AS Simone is phasing out of Maersk's Polaris schedule at Sydney on 14 March. This takes the service down to two vessels, Nicolai Maersk and Nordmass.

It appears that AS Simone is no longer phasing out. She sailed from Sydney to Suva anchorage before berthing and then returning to anchorage. She is now on her way to Auckland, where she will resume her Trans Tasman schedule.

As I said, in Auckland ships are not allowed to proceed under the bridge unless they have a two tug escort, to stop an incident like this from happening.

4
Container vessel Norfolk is phasing out of the KIX schedule for one round voyage. She will be replaced for this voyage by OOCL Nagoya.

This accident amazes me. Here in Auckland New Zealand we have a harbour bridge. Any ship wishing to go under the bridge to the upper harbour wharves must have a pilot, and tugs attached bow and stern. You would think they would do the same thing in a country as advanced as the USA.

Due to the on going mechanical issue with the Capitaine Wallis, her Noumea and Vanuatu cargo has been transferred to Sofrana Surville. Her Vanuatu cargo will be transhipped to Southern Pearl at Noumea. Capitaine Magellan will take over the schedule on her return from drydock in China on 2nd April. The future of Capitaine Wallis is uncertain.

Does anyone know what is happening with Majestic Princess? She sailed from Sydney to Auckland, and sheltered in the Bay of Islands anchorage due to yesterdays severe storm. She then proceeded on to Auckland and has been going around in circles. Port of Auckland has her anchoring from 13.33 today until 04.30 on March 22. Can't see that happening as she has passengers and crew on board. Weird....
They have now modified her anchor time to 01.30 6 March. She may be omitting her Auckland call and heading to Tauranga where she is due tomorrow.
Looks like she is heading straight for Tauranga.

Capitaine Baret is leaving the NPDL Fiji Express service and will be replaced by the NPDL Tahiti.
