One piece of info the http://www.scars.org.uk/cuttings/volume6/issue6-4/bonchurch.html web site got wrong is that it says Bonchurch never done any work when she was on the Tyne for Tyne Towage, she did her fair share and i've got some photos somewhere to prove it.

Plan "A", weather permitting, is she leaves the berth at 11:00 am and reaches the piers an hour later at 12:00 am. Plan "B" is add an hour to the figures just given.

Oh brother, do i have a few tales i could tell about the Jungle. I was in there one Friday night, upstairs in the dance room, with 4 strippers who had to be driven to Newcastle by myself at 01:00am next morning to catch a train to Bristol where they were due to leap out of some old guys birthday cake. One of my many part time jobs was driving these girls and i have to say it was one of the most enjoyable jobs i've ever had.

Hi Mike,
I should think the ground will take a fair bit of clearing. I worked at Smith's from 1970 till 1980 and how i wish i was taking photos in those days. I always thought it was good yard to work in and the "natives" were always very friendly to us "foreigners" from tutherside of the river. I made some good friends during my time there and had many a good night out at Chirton and King Street workingmens clubs.

Hi Steve,
Yes, that's where she's at. It's taking a lot longer to get some spare part that they need. I know the feeling. We've just had a bit of thunder and lightening 06:30am.

It also has to be asked why Sweden and Finland are so determined that no new inquiry be held and why Sweden tried to encase the Estonia with concrete.
