Some pretty good photo opportunities of shipping/tugs should be obtained from this inland cruise ship operating between Hoek van Holland and Maasvlakte (see marinetraffic screen shot). Looks better value than the long Spido trip from Rotterdam to Maasvlakte.

Laid up at Holyhead for months she has now been renamed ONE WORLD KARADENIZ and will depart shortly with tug assistance.
The last of Stena's HSS she was built by Finnyards and cost

"Work on the expansion of the canal has reached 84% completion and its entry into operation is scheduled for the first part of 2016"

Reported in elpais today:

Spain planning to create a Special Area of Conservation around Gibraltar that would include waters in dispute between both governments.
The zone will prohibit environmentally dangerous practices like bunkering which is a major economic activity for Gibraltar..........
