I'll be on the Ocean Princess during her transit of the Kiel canal on the 24th June.

If any members in that area happen to get a photo of her, I'd love to get a copy

Shipping News and information / Permission to use Photos

After first being considered a few years ago, the Port of Napier where I work has now attached ship photos to its Shipping Guide.

The majority of photos they are using are my own, but sometimes I see a better photo than the one I took on this site and use that for my own collection.

Now that the Shipping Guide is live, it is possible that some members photos may have been used. Hopefully permission will be given to use these and credit given where due, however if anyone sees their photo being used and they do not want to give permission, then that will be respected so please let me know and it will be removed.

The photos have been cropped and reduced considerably in size so will be of little value in that regard.

I was interested to see the following posting by Guntism of the Golden Sky being towned from Ventspils to Gdansk

I read she had been declared a constructive total loss and have noted that she has been removed completely from Lloyd's Internet Register.

Does anyone know what plans there are for the vessel - i.e. is she going to be repaired or broken up?

Shipping News and information / Two 4100's Renamed

I see that the Maersk Denia and Maersk Dale have been renamed Southampton Express and Dunblin Express respectively.

Does anyone have any further info?
