The submarine OLYMPUS is the 1st of three subs that will pass through the Welland canal. All 3 are Oberon-class submarines. the other 2 subs are OKANAGAN and OJIBWA. OKANAGAN and OLYMPUS are slated to be scrapped. but Marine Recycling Corp is planning to keep 100 tonnes from each sub including the conning tower and put them in Derek Point and Memorial Garden. it's located where 3rd and 4th Welland canal meet in Port Colborne. While the OJIBWA is supposed to become a museum in Port Burwell,. It's fate is still unknown. the only submarine that's been turn into a museum is the HMCS Onondaga(Oberon-class) in Rimouski, Quebec.
