Hi there,
also from me first a big thank you for the work on the new website! The design looks really modern, but like some of the other contributors before, I would like to say that the functions have changed, but have not improved as a whole. I don't see a problem with most of the functions, because after some time you will surely get used to them.  The completely white background, however, I feel as a clear step backwards and why the opportunity to include IMO and ENI number in the search function was not used, is also not understandable to me.
I repeat explicitly, I have great respect for the work that went into the project, but the best time for constructive criticism is probably now, before everything goes online.
Greetings from the Ems,
Stefan

The outer appearance of the vessel looked nearly immaculate even when it was beached. Well, somehow a mysterious case.
All the best,
Stefan

Hej Geir!
Not that i have a better explanation but in my opinion, this is very unlikely. The ship is one of the newer units of a well-known Japanese shipping company and has started a new five-year class run only in 2021.
All the best,
Stefan

According to her classification society DNV, she had  been renamed "National Grographic Islander II" - presumably at her last renewal survey  21/10/2021 in Rijeka.
New Owner: Lex Esprit Ltd.
New Manager: Lindblad Expeditions

Hi there!
It is of course not nice to see that a whole bunch of pretty and well-maintained ships will be dismantled. Compared to the ships that are about to be scrapped now, I am much more sorry for Fred Olsens classic beauties "Boudicca" and "Black Watch", which will probably follow soon.
All the best,
Stefan

« on: May 17, 2019, 06:19:24 PM »
Hi jdap!
The "Tollan" was part of a series of four Tackler-type RoRos, built from the Kasado shipyard in Kudamatsu. The Series consists of: "Tackler Arabia'' IMO 7800239, "Tajin'' IMO 7800241, "Tollan'' IMO 7815674 and "Tackler Dosinia'' IMO 7815686
Maybe it helps a bit,

Hi there!
Nice is different but if it serves to give the ship a new round of life, I'm still ok with that.

What a sad news. The community will certainly miss the great photos from the balcony and Jadran's friendly manner.
Bon Voyage, Jadran and all good wishes for the bereaved,
Stefan

Hi Chris!
Just found this one:

She could fit more or less for your purpose. There are plenty spaces to hide - e.g. in the cargo holds or between deck cargo. I would assume, that a young Boy in such a Situation would have been ordered either to work on deck (scrubbing deck, pecking rust, painting), help in the galley or maybe assist the Steward.
Brgds,
Stefan
