From the CMA CGM website:

First call according to the London Container Terminal website is VIONA on 13 June.

Another niche middle sea service that plays to Tilbury's strengths and continues Forth Ports' strategy of positioning Tilbury in different geographical markets from those served or targeted by London Gateway.

The new Thames Oilport -- formerly Coryton Refinery -- has now opened as an oil products import terminal. The first vessel to call last week was the Seaconger.

Some reports in the trade press:

Most of the article is behind the Lloyds List paywall, but the extract is tantalising.

The front page states that "Tilbury owner sees no future in containers for Hutchison's beleaguered UK facility."

Shipping News and information / SCA to move from Tilbury to Sheerness
« on: December 30, 2015, 12:18:45 PM »
SCA, one of the early customers of the Tilbury Dock extension in the late sixties and the tenant at 44 berth ever since then, is moving its business to Sheerness.

I wonder if the recent dispute and industrial action at 44 berth was a factor here.

The result of what will have been a major tussle for the combined business of MacAndrews and OPDR now that both lines are under the ownership of French mega-operator CMA CGM:

What will Thamesport do now?

A new Tilbury to Spain link supplementing the port's existing Iberian services operated by OPDR and WEC Lines:
