Hi,

Am I the only one who have to sign in two times before the site acknowledge my identity? While this is not a great problem, I think it is not a normal situation.

I do like the new site, particularly some of the new features like be able to start a search by using the hyperlinks, for exemple the location of pictures.

I hope the best for Shipspotting and thank for all the work.

Hi,

On the "Search results" for the casualties category, the "postcard" for the KRYMSKIY KOMSOMOLETS (https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/3401410) states that there are 6 comments. When I reach the page, I can see only two, the last one from me. I am using Chrome on Windows. I do not know if this problem is specific to this entry.

Also, will there be something done or possible for the links in the comments to url from the old site which give only error 404?

Otherwise, I am really happy with the new site et thanks everyone involved.

Hi,

There is a video of the incident in a YouTube video, starting at about 4 minutes. There are also some pictures taken before the temporary repairs shown in the Casualties category.

As I understand the site, the "first" picture (number 17) was taken in 2004 but was added (posted) on July 10. 2006.

But the second one (number 19) the BERGSKALD - IMO 9131187, still taken in 2004 was added in 2008.

And, the third, number 20, the HELENE MAERSK - IMO 9034705 was added in 2006.

So, if you were looking for the first posted or added, I think some researches will have to be done unless you were looking for the first captured ship, which is the LAKE LISI - IMO 8207044.   ;)

Since there will not be any cruising ships in Quebec City this summer, maybe the "security" needs something to do, "protecting" whatever is there against the agression of not so many picture taking tourists or locals?

Hi,

Thank you Aleksi, you are absolutely right about the name of the tug.

The VB HISPANIA was helped from Montreal to Les Escoumins by the tug OCEAN ECHO II (IMO 6913091) which is now going to Quebec City.

Hi,

I posted two messages today and each time I got this error message "Database Error: Got error 28 from storage engine
File: /www/www/smf1/Sources/Post.php
Line: 1981" . When I went back to the messages to try to correct the problem it was only to find that the messages were correctly posted.

Could this problem be related to the "show notification" which is still very present on my computer when I go to another page of the site and the "Error gettinc comments: Got error 28 from storage engine" when I want to see the comments to my pictures. (Note : the "c" in the word after "Error" is a typo but not from me.)

PS, When I reopened my message for a modification, I got the same message while posting.

Hi,

I think you are right. The last MarineTraffic position for the CEDARGLEN (now EDA) in Montreal is the same spot where MV HISPANIA left for Aliaga.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

I just saw on MarineTraffic the tug MV HISPANIA heading to Aliaga from Montreal, Canada. Since it is not her first visit of this kind, she must be towing a scrapyard case. Do someone know an idea who is the very unlucky winner of this crossing?

Thank you in advance,

rarcand

Hi,

After a serious attack stopped by my antivirus, I stopped using Microsoft Edge and returned to Google Chrome. I still get the message each time I change page on Shipspotting but Adblock close it quite rapidly. Shipspotting is the only site where I have this.

Hi,

I still got the message today on Chrome and tried using adblock to get rid of it. I answered some questions and closed Chrome. I opened it after a while and when I opened Shipspotting's home page the windows showed up briefly then closed without my interaction. The situation was repeated at almost every change of pages on the site so I decided to continue my visit on Edge, another navigator.

I checked in Chrome's options and shipspotting.sendpulse was on the blocked list.

However, still no problem with Microsoft Edge, so far at least.
