about half of the containers will be in the holds, some holds will be flooded (aft and forward of the engingeroom) the other holds will be intact. The deck cargo will be salvaged first, and if not washed overboard will be Ok, appart from teh few containers that are on the aft deck and are flooded twice a day during high tide.
Th make a long story short; all will depend on the location of your containers on the vessel. You may be able to find this out through your forwarder, but I doubt that MSC (the shipping line) will be very forthcoming with information at this stage.
Containerpositions on a vessel are identified by 6-digit numbers, with these numbers the location can be determined. Numbers ending with 82/84/86/88/90 indicate on deck positions. Numbers ending with 00/02/04/06/08/10/12/14 indicate in the hold positions.
