DENMARK's Maersk Line has announced it will add two new 13,092-TEU containerships, the Maersk Edmonton and the Maersk Erving, to its Asia-Europe AE-7 service in February and in March to replace the two 9,500-TEU class Maersk Algol and Gjertrud Maersk, reports Alphaliner. The AE-7 service, which was initially introduced, envisioning eight 15,200-TEU E-class vessels in 2007-2008, which was Maersk's highest-capacity string with a capacity of 14,070 TEU per week. But it also faced stiff competition against MSC's "Silk" service that provides 13,926 TEU a week.
With these two upgraded vessels on the AE-7 loop, it will provide an average capacity of 14,778 TEU starting from March.

Two 7,500-TEU ships chartered from Hanjin, the Hanjin Yantian and Hanjin Dallas, will offer two lower capacity sailings in February after Chinese New Year to meet the expected fall in demand at that time.

Hi All,

I like this discussion about the Admins and Delethings,
Reading this discussion
Some peolple said Admins remove more Garbage (too much garbage on this website)
Some people said delete not all pictures that not go with the site standaards,
I have seen the picture of COKL of the Aurora, really good picture, why should we deleted this photo ?? See no reason why,
About the Rijnborg of Miraflores should be always stays on this website almost perfectly.
If i looked on other website
I see people uploaded Half ships, painting of ships,to much siloutte, copyright pictures.
Is this what we want,I think not.
I think that sort picture are need to be deleted on this website.

Regards,

Dave

First of all,

HansE did not remove his pictures because of the deletion discussion,
Hans did not like the webpage
I have sad some points in the topic 1 million photos,
Hans is really good shipphotographer thats all,he is not intersting in shipdetails like, flag or year of built only to take pictures off ships,
His first point
The 3 topphotos best shots in the last 24 hours,
Hans said why not last uploads so that everyone can be in the topphotos on the mainpage,
If your picture is on the mainpage your hits on photos exploded little unfair because you can not see all the pictures that been upload that day.
If the picture on the mainpage changes everytime when a picture is upload people have to see the all the photos that's been upload.

second point,
On the mainpage you will see Comments on photos,
So everytime when someone click on Comment on photos you will get hits on your photos,
It's also a bit unfair.to other pictures
Because on some picture you see discussions (7or 8 message by two member the same pictures) everytime more hits on the photos.

I hope a did explain a bit ,
I you want too see more pics of HansE
go to www.shipspotters.nl and go to
photographers,

Regards,

Dave

I think, it is not so dramatic, because there are still many active members on this site, and it has to be tolerated, that you can not do it right for everyone, all the time.

I think it's a problem that members are leaving the website,
In de beginning the where around 500-600 uploads for one day now it's only around the 300 pics
HansE has upload around 12,000 pics all deleted,
but we forget,
Marieann from Antwerp also 10,000 is gone ,
Haroship more than 10,000 pics is gone,.
Miraflores not uploading many pictures anymore.
So yes it's a problem that we lose members and pictures.

First of all HansE is not stopped because of the deleting discussion ,but because of the website.
For example one of HansE point

The topphotos in the last 24 hours
Picture with the most hits for the 24 hours everyone how see the pics more and more hits.but the other pictures that been uploading are never gonna gets so many hits on the pics.
So why not the 3 last pictures that been uploading so everyone can be for 5 min on the main page so everyone can see the pics
And everytime the three pics are changing in the last uploads.
