Some weeks ago a german sub U33 was on the way across the Atlantic Ocean to join NATO ships for an exercise at the US-East coast. Maybe the Orlava was a target for the sub, just for training?

This is the EAV 2013, with 2 german frigates, Bremen F 207 and Emden F 210, the 2 corvettes Braunschweig F 260 and Oldenburg F 263, also the Frankfurt/Main.
They are in the western Med. now for further maneuvering exercises, after returning to their homeport Wilhelmshaven the Bremen will be decomissioned after 30 years of duty.

I found some informations on the german Greenpeace site and Wikipedia.

In the 80's total 17 ships were built in Japan, one of them was the smal tanker

Statengracht on the way from Rauma/Finland bound western Baltic, on the traffic separation way and Katre crossing, on the way from the Sund/Denmark to Poland.

Statengracht changed course to starboard, but Katre changed course to port, why?
And how Statengracht got this bog hole at her port side?
