Help and Advice / Re: Deletions

Id like to eat my words and take that statement back, if I may.
It was written in haste, rude and unnecessary.
Its just all the bickering and the fact that I had some photos of my own deleted.
Apologies, Fergal

i can't confirm otherwise. to the best of my knowledge a lane is 2m wide just as you have said. that's according to my notes on studies for the institute of chartered shipbrokers.
have also heard it isn't unusual for the guys loading vehicles on a car carrier to have to climb out the windows as there isn't enough room to open the doors once the vehicles are loaded. maybe this is in exceptional circumstances though

while flickr is certainly nothing compared to shipspotting there is still a large amount of groups within flickr dedicated to shipspotting and the quality of photos is generally quite good. worth a look anyway.

little bit disrepectful in my opinion, referring to it as a piece of junk when its obviously something they are very passionate about. its a beautiful looking ship. reminiscent of Loewys many wonderful designs. if you know anything about streamlining you might appreciate that. I for one hope people might look at it a bit more positively and with a bit more support. this is a one of a kind vessel, would be a shame to lose it

without being rude or blunt, would suggest that you make the effort to upload your photos if you expect someone else to do the same for you. its not that difficult. this is a good community and help is  always at hand; I mean the members are great bunch of people and always wiliing to help with advice etc when they can. click on ship photos on the top of the page, when the page changes click on upload photos on the left hand side menu

Corrib gas vessel hits rocks
Sunday, 16 August 2009 10:08

A supply boat involved in supporting the work of the laying of the Corrib gas pipeline went onto rocks on the Co Mayo coast this morning.

The 'Flamingo', a 32m steel-hulled vessel, struck the rocks near Erris Head. Weather conditions were described as poor.
The vessel was towed off some hours later and has been taken to Ballyglass Harbour.
All five people on board the vessel are safe and well.
A spokesman for Shell Ireland said an investigation is under way to establish how the accident occurred.
