Shipping News and information / P&O ferries new order

It has been reported in some shipping magazines that P&O ferries have place an order for 2 new ships to be built somewhere i dont have the shipyard details yet but in some magazines there are going to replace the PRIDE OF CANTERBURY AND PRIDE OF DOVER this is wrong there are going to replace the PRIDE OF CALAIS AND PRIDE OF DOVER which are 20 years old the new ships will be ready by 2010 I belive the DOVER&CALAIS will be sold to SNAV of Greece or a shipping firm from Greece When i get more deatils I let u know

Hiya I need some info regarding the above ship she is at the bottom of the sea near the western end of Dover breakwater when Dover Harbour Board make the 30 year dream into something real ie new ferry berths, new pier, and new cruise ship area the above ship have to be removed has anyone got photos of her

A new company called NAVMED will run a new service form Dover to calais and boulogne they wil be using the RAPIDE AND DIAMANT witch they are going to buy and also hire for a year the 86-metre craft the SPIRIT OF ONTARIO witch will run to boulogne the firm is run by 2 directors with strong connections with Hoverspeed.Illinois-based company CHIKARE HOLDINGS witch has strong connections in the Middle East has 80%of NAVMED shares.

I need your help a local paper here in Dover has said that a fast operator is interest in the Hoverport in Dover they hhave in been incontact with Dover Harbour Board whom own the land one things its not Speedferries Can someone tell me who it may be I think its Stena Line but no word of them yet.

With Hoverspeed pulling out of Dover does anybody what going to happen to the hoverport.Having living in Dover there is all sorts of talking going on.I like see Stena Line back in Dover it is ideal place Dover Harbour Board are talking to people but they are not saying who.If aanyone has heard of anything that be great to know

I have the names for the 2 new ships on the Dover-Dunkerque route the names are MAERSK DITIF AND MAERSK DOVER.And now Norfolk line have bought Norse Merchant Irish sea ferries they will operate under the Norfolkline banner next april.Owner of Norfolkline AP Moller Maersk are so happy for the deal to happen

I have some sad news on 17/10/05 the Pride of Alsalm 95.You will remember her as Pride of Sandwich If anyone has photos of the wreak I like to see them.

on saturday 22nd October Dover Welcomed the NEW NORFOLK LINE ferry Maersk Dunkerque for the Dover-Dunkerqur route she is having berth trails she enter service in november she is a very nice looking ship she is the first 1 of 3 for the route she came from KOREA
