The fishing vessel Harvest Gardenia sank 60nm south of Cape Agulhas this afternoon. All crew were taken on board other vessels in the area that had come to her assistance.

The crew of the Chamarel were forced to abandon ship this morning after a fire broke out on board and spread through the ship.
The vessel was north east of Walvis Bay when the fire broke out and all the crew were evacuated safely.

The anchor handler "Douala Tide" went down in position 34 04.7' S 026 49.7' E with the loss of one life late yesterday afternoon.
Three survivors were brought ashore by helicopter and the blance of the crew were rescued by the ultra luxury yacht "Octopus", owned by billionaire Paul Alan

Just heard that the container ship SA Helderberg has been in a collision with another vessel near Singapore somewhere - taking in water. No other news available at this stage

I have just heard that the container carrier Mol Sassandra (ex Sao Paulo Challenger) IMO # 9178525 has run aground on Madagascar. No further details at present.
Does anyone have any pictures of her?

Reefer vessel "Ice Flake" disabled off Maputo after a fire in the engine room. Fire has been extinguished and tug en route to tow her to Durban.

The Safmarine Agulhas lost power and ran aground just outside East London (South Africa) last night.
Apparently she is not taking on water but the two harbour tugs have as yet been unable to free her. :-(
