Hi everybody,

Thank you for all your replies! And we are happy you like what you see.

A special thanks to you, Niels / Spotti, for letting me know about the major delay in the position. There was a bug which has now been fixed. The positions will always be a bit delayed but this we mainly be a matter of hours or 1-2 days.

We will update the site, but not on a monthly basis. So the new ships will be added once or twice a year.

You are always welcome to let me know in this forum or a personal message if you have good ideas to how to extend the site.

Thank you,
Sandra

p.s. and please spread the word about the site if you think somebody else will like to watch it... :)

Hi,

A long time ago I asked you for help regarding photos for a new interactive fleetlist for Maersk vessels. The site is now finally live and you can find it here: www.maerskfleet.com

I want to send a special thank you to:
Bernd Urbanik
Ian Thomas
Ken Smith
Derek Lilley
Dave von Spronsen
Andrew McAlpine
Cornelia Klier
Arthur Terry
Henk de Winde
Chris Hunsicker
Andreas Schlatterer

If you think a vessel class is lacking good photos and you have some, we will love to bring them - clearly credited off course.
Kind regards,
Sandra

Hi,

Have you visited the site about the Triple-E vessels?
http://www.worldslargestship.com/

It tells the story about them quite well, but I don't think they mention which type of MAN engines they use.

Hi all,

I'm glad you have referred to the new site: http://www.worldslargestship.com which is a site we are very proud of and believe shows the story about the new class in a nice and informative way.

The construction of this site is the reason why we had to put the project with the fleet list on hold, which a lot of you have been so kind to share pictures for. I'm looking forward to send you the link to that new site when it is launched.

Regards,
Sandra

Hello everybody,

I'm overwhelmed with the help from all of you. I have received many mails stating we are able to use your photographs and it will definitely make the site greater when we launch.

There are so many great photos that we have not yet had time to look into them all and download the relevant ones. I will get back to everyone of you at some point within near future.

Please don't misunderstand the lack of reply as ingratitude  :)
Kind regards,
Sandra

Hi Cornelia,

It wasn't my intention to give the impression that I am from Maersk. It is true that I work at the agency called TRIPLE LBi and we are situated in Copenhagen.

We work for - and together with - Maersk to create a vessel list for the fleet. It is at this point not for the historically vessels, but we hope it will be well received and that it will hopefully develop over the years. The list will contain info from different business units, where Maersk Line is off course a large part, but it will also contain Tankers, Drilling, FPSOs, LNG and Supply Service.

Thank you for letting us use your photos - it is very kind of you. It is not yet certain that we will need them at this point - but if so, I will get back to you so you know before hand.

Kind regards,
Sandra Septimius - account manager at TRIPLE LBi, Copenhagen  ;)

Phil ...

I have attached an early layout (which means it has changed a bit since) so you can see how it will look more or less. We believe it will be quite nice javascript:void(0);

Hi Phil,

Yes, off course - it will be an official Maersk site, giving information about their fleet. It will show some great videos, give tech specs for all the different classes, live feed about the positioning of the vessels, have a compare section, where we will exemplify the size of the vessels compared to well known geographical icons among others. And starting in the new year we will also have a section about life as a seafarer and different aspects of that.

We will off course also show photographs of the vessels and for this you can never get enough :) And it is this we will invite you in for ...

But to answer your question short - it is a official Maersk site presenting their vessels.

Please ask again if you are in doubt!
Kind regards,
Sandra
