Trip reports / back
« on: September 18, 2008, 05:54:40 PM »
sorry i havn't posted for a while but here goes...
The crossing starts at the port of Harwich
(while we were in port there was a huge cruise ship called  jewel of the seas right next to it)
We started off and made our way to the top of the ship where we were staying and the staff are very nice and greet you when you arrive. We then unpacked and made our way to the Comodore lounge which was great and the drinks were nice. evening meal was very nice. I didn't go outside much because the wind was very bad. I couldn't sleep because the sea was very rough and i fell of my bed twice! (The shops also selled some good things). Breakfast was awful as usuall and we arrived at 1.00pm. Overall the crossing was quite good and its a shame to see dfds are doing badly.

Trip reports / King of Scandinavia
« on: July 06, 2008, 05:13:51 PM »
I had a great time on the king last year. There was one problem though... Two of the engines were damaged and the crossing was very slow and rough. The food was very nice on it and the entertainment was very good. The ship is quite big but that means there is more to do! The annoying thing about the shops is that there is toblorone everywhere in the shop! Overall i think the trip was quite good with a few bad things.

Olson :-D  :-D

The crossing is great, I hope they keep the ship as well :-(

Apologies if posted elsewhere.

Very sad news. Lots of jobs to go. Don't know if somebody else might take over the route but in the current economic climate that must be a doubt.

Richard.
