Hi Ronny,

Do you already know this site ?
Svitzer Stanlow

It usualy takes (a lot of) time to convince companies to share info for ship modeling (I know....I found out myself)

But...do not give up...

Hey Jaksa,

I've looked at the internet and found a little more info. (You might already have it!)

I found this on a Hungarian website: Hungarian Ship registry

Apparently there have been 2 ships in this class:
The "Kostrena" and the "Buda II"
Both single screw, sea going, steam freighters
Built at Napier & Miller, Ltd., Glasgow, GBR

The Kostrena in 1902 with Yardno. 120
The Buda II in 1905 with Yardno. 136

Strange !! I thought the Kostrena was build somewhere else ??

Unfortunately no pictures.... (So I'm not 100% sure these are the same vessels as the one I told you earlier about.

Take care

Mario

I've just seen some pictures of both Tugs on www.tugspotters.com.
Look under "Fotoalbum" --> "W"
You'll find them !!

Hi....

As far as I know they will all keep their Black/Yellow colors.
I believe I read something about it somewhere....(I'll try to look it up)
Allthough Viking Offshore Services Ltd is now part of Vroon, it will still operate under the name (and colors) of Viking Offshore Services Ltd.

Hi Yves,

I've just visited the website of Ifremer and found this page:
Logos Ifremer

I believe they are free to use.....there is one in Black and White....with a little patience and creativity it might be possible to turn it into the blue logo of Ifremer.

Maybe this is of any use to you? Good luck !

Why not ? What have you got to loose ?

I think that's the closest you can get to the source....

When asking the right questions (in the right tone) you'de be wondered which doors will open.....they might appear to be very co

Hi Jaksa,

I've seen pictures of the ship here on Shipspotting.com.
She is a very nice ship to build a model from.

Have you tried to contact the Croatian Shipbuilding Corporation already ?
Maybe they can help you get the desired plans.

She has reference number 52.
Check this link:

Scale Models / Re: Plans for Smit Rotterdam/London
« on: May 03, 2007, 07:08:59 AM »
Dear nicojoh,

Might I ask if the museum also has plans of the former SMIT ARUBA and/ or SMIT BONAIRE ?

I have seen these tugs on the internet. Nowadays they operate under the names Nicole M. and Danielle M. (McKeil Marine Ltd in Canada)

My contact with McKeil has not lead to plans of the tug. (Unfortunately)

Allthough I'm currently working on an other model, in future I'd like to build a scale model of the former SMIT ARUBA / BONAIRE.

Best regards,

Mario Amory

Hi Hasse,

Perhaps this can help you any further.
Revell had a kit in its programm of the Benledi.
Maybe they have detailed info for you. (Perhaps a plan or something)
Follow the link --> Revell M.V. Benledi

And if you follow this link you'll find a seller of the kit on e-bay. e-bay auction of Revell Kit M.V. Benledi

Good luck....
