Post by: Manuel Hernandez Lafuente on November 17, 2007, 09:14:07 PM
The general cargo ship Al Zahraa has aground in the evening of 16/11/2007 over the shoal of Santa Catalina,
when approaching to Ceuta port for taking bunker. The cargo on board is steel coils.
She has two forward double bottom tanks of fuel broken, but the fuel doesn't overflow outside, stand over
the water that entered inside of the tanks.
The owners of Al Zahraa, Federal Arab Maritime Company, has made a contract with Svitzer Wijsmuller for refloating the ship.

Seems like fotosdebarcos website was closed on 17 & 18 Nov.
Look at here (http://www.navegando.info/al_zahraa.html) for good pictures from Ceuta.

Cheers,
