I think it is not fake or dangerous, but he is a very busy collector.
His name and that of his wife is in the telephone register of Stockholm.
His photo's and text can also be found on websites like merchant-navy.net, flickr-tanker-groups, the Dutch website Kombuispraat and the tanker-website of Auke Visser.
Swedish people find the family very important and his wife seems to share his interest.
But I think he does not realize that the members of the website have already "emptied" their collection on this website so there is not much new to find for him.
And maybe he is not yet familiar with the button "save this image as" :-))
Regards, Pieter

I received the same message, and had been in contact with him before some years ago. Problem with these collectors is that you do not know what he has and he is not aware of what you have, so swapping will take at lot of work to find the pictures you want and for him the pictures he wants. So unless you have ages of time available, it might be easier to roam the internet.

We got this email as well.
