Title: DIE NIEUWE PRINS (HVH - MSV - HVH)
Post by: Mike Griffiths on June 17, 2017, 03:38:12 PM
Some pretty good photo opportunities of shipping/tugs should be obtained from this inland cruise ship operating between Hoek van Holland and Maasvlakte (see marinetraffic screen shot). Looks better value than the long Spido trip from Rotterdam to Maasvlakte.

Most of the ferry is closed. I have no idea if your allowed to stand on the aft deck.

Yes, you can stand on the aft deck as you can on the fast ferries to Dordrecht. In this photograph there is someone taking a photo of your ship from the aft deck:

The ferry moves at considerable speed so you have to be alert for photography.

You can indeed stand on the rear deck, and it is about the only way to properly shoot the tankers at the MOT.

If you get onto the starboard side you can shoot everything as you go back and forth to the ferry berth in Maasvlakte, Pistolhaven and Landtong.

Did this twice recently.
