Vlad the only news I could find was this piece from STX and BP Shipping previously ordered six new lng carriers from Daewoo.

It has been reported that the entire series had been sold to Hyundai wih a BB-charter back to BP. Up to now I have not found any prrof that the deal actually went ahead.

Like many of the modern BP ships, I wonder just how "British" the new ships will actually be, in fact I'm surprised the PR obsessed BP of today has permitted the retention of the "British" prefix.
The previous (70s) built R class were all built in Japan and had long lives (for VLCC's). Not particularly easy to work as they got older, but they were at least UK manned at the time, a now long forgotten state of affairs.

The whole series appear to have been acquired by Kukje Maritime Investment Corp (Kmarin), Seoul, for charter to BP.

BP have sold off all their new builds to Korean and Chinese Banks and leased them back
