Title: Austal hull 270 on route to UK
Post by: chrisg46 on December 12, 2014, 09:10:50 PM
After being constructed in 2010, Austal's hull 270, known as the New Generation 102, has been bought by Channel Island ferry operator Condor, and will be used on their UK/CI/France routes.

There's a video about the ship on the video page, as well as on Shipping TV.

That is terrific news. I used to pass it most weekends as I headed out from the local boat club (with camera in hand) into Cockburn Sound. Very sad seeing it idle month after month at the Austal Ships jetty. :D
