The tanker 'Blackfriars' ran aground in the Kyle of Lochalsh.

According to the report she was caught by a gust of wind. She was in ballast at the time and there was no reported pollution.

Anglian Prince in attendance. Refloated on the following tide and went to anchor in Loch Alsh. Some underwater damage forward. After inspection by MCA and divers, vessel given leave to sail to drydock.
