Hi all,
Fred Miller let us know the other day that the CANADIAN RANGER was heading to Turkey for scrapping.
Here is the information I have :
As of today (2011-06-03) 8h00 EST, CANADIAN RANGER is being towed by the tugs TONY MACKAY, VIGILANT 1 and SEAHOUND. They are presently downbound between the towns of Morrisburg and Cornwall, Ontario.
As usual, any photos of this transit would be appreciated.

The tug Pantodynmos is heading to Montreal, http://ais3.siitech.com/VTSLite/AView.aspx, probably to pick-up the Algontario which arrived in Montreal in the past week. According to "Know Your Ships", The Canadian Miner is also going to the scrapyard this year.

Thanks Dennis and Alex for the information. I think we'll be busy with all these ships being sent to scrapyards! I checked on EQUASIS and the name is PANTODYNAMOS.

I notice the tow used the south channel between I.O. and Ile-Aux-Coudres. An unusual route.
I posted this bad photo but it might be one of the very few of this tow.
